Man, this week’s been a nightmare for anyone planning to upgrade their setup. Prices for even basic components are through the roof. My buddy tried to build a Ryzen 5700X rig last week—turns out the GPU alone costs more than his old desktop.

Gaming gear’s a joke now. RTX 3080? RM3,500+? Bro, that’s not a GPU, that’s a lottery ticket. And don’t even get me started on tablets. My cousin wanted a new Samsung Tab for work, but the cheapest model’s RM1,800. She’s stuck with her old one for now.

Linux users, we feel you. Even used parts are pricey. I’m debating whether to upgrade my Ryzen 5600X or just stick to my old rig. Homelab? Yeah, I’m not touching it. Storage, RAM, everything’s a minefield.

Android phones? Same story. New flagship? RM2,500+ and still no 120Hz screen. AI projects? Forget it. Budgets are shot.

Anyone else just… waiting for this to cool down? Or are we all just… sighing and buying used? Let’s hear your stories!

Yeah, totally feeling you on that one! Prices are definitely giving everyone a headache right now. I was thinking about upgrading my Ryzen 5600X too, but the RAM prices have me second-guessing everything.

Anyone else here seeing friends and family just sticking to their old setups for now? I mean, we all want to level up our tech game, but when new parts cost as much as a small car, it’s tough to justify spending that kind of cash.

So, what are your thoughts on the current state of tech prices? Are you taking the plunge and buying used, or do you think things might ease up soon? Let’s hear some stories! 😅
