So, this Redditor’s Steam Machine just died after 5 mins of No Man’s Sky. Updated the game, then boom – GPU fried. Red Line of Death? Sounds like a *very* modern RROD.
Bro, I’ve had my Steam Machine since 2014, and it’s been a beast. But this sounds like a batch issue? Or maybe the new No Man’s Sky update pushed some GPU limits?
Thoughts? Did anyone else get this? Or is it just a rare fluke? Also, anyone know if the Steam Machine’s GPU is a known weak link?
P.S. If this is a common problem, maybe we should start a thread about upgrading to a better rig. Some of us are still using these old boxes for media streaming, but this is rough.
