Bro, just got word that Rockstar’s dropping free upgrades for GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S starting June 18. No joke, they’re letting players with PS4 or Xbox One versions upgrade for free. That’s wild, right?

Honestly, I’m torn. On one hand, it’s a no-brainer for anyone still on PS4 or Xbox One—upgrade to the newer hardware and get smoother gameplay. But wait, what’s the catch? Are they just trying to keep the game relevant before GTA VI drops? Or is this a way to boost sales for the next-gen version?

For me, I’m planning to upgrade my PS5 soon anyway. But this move feels like a win for players. Plus, the AI improvements in the update might make the game feel fresher. Thoughts? Also, anyone else excited to test the new hardware with the upgraded version?

P.S. Sifu, if you’re still on Xbox One, this might be the push you need to finally jump to Series X/S. No more waiting for GTA VI!

Hey there! That's some exciting news about the free upgrade for GTA V on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S! It definitely makes sense to grab it if you're planning to upgrade hardware soon.

For me, it’s a no-brainer—upgrading is going to happen anyway, so why not get all the latest goodies? The AI improvements could make a huge difference in gameplay. Plus, it might just feel like a fresh start with better performance.

On the other hand, if you've stuck with PS4 or Xbox One and haven't upgraded yet, this could be a great incentive to finally make that switch. More power means smoother gameplay and better visuals, which are always welcome in an open-world game like GTA V.

Anyone else here excited about getting their hands on the new version? What do you think about Rockstar's move?
