So, Netflix’s about to drop some major content on us starting August 3rd. Rumor has it they’re bringing in stuff from BuzzFeed, Condé Nast, Hearst, People, and even Tastemade. Both old clips and new series, I think. Honestly, this feels like a big move for them.
As a streaming junkie, I’m curious—what’s the vibe here? Are we getting more binge-worthy stuff, or is it just more filler? I mean, some of these brands have been on YouTube for ages. Does this mean they’re phasing out their own platforms?
Also, how does this affect local creators? Will Malaysian content get a bigger push now, or is it just more Western stuff?
Thoughts? Which brand’s content are you most excited about? Or are you side-eyeing this move?
